
Free AVIRIS Data for Graduate Research
Any graduate student may receive one AVIRIS scene per year for graduate
research at no cost.
To receive the scene send:
- A letter on University letterhead
- The AVIRIS flight, run and scene
- A one paragraph description of proposed research
- Signature of the graduate advisor and student on the letter with
email address to:

Please discuss the use of the AVIRIS measured upwelling spectral
radiance for quantitative research based on the molecular absorptions
and constituent scattering signatures found in the terrestrial
environment. Please emphasize algorithms and approaches that take
advantage of the spectral nature of AVIRIS data.
