Ordering AVIRIS Data
Each scene (512 lines, all bands) is US$250 for individuals who are NOT funded
NASA-AVIRIS principal investigators. One scene is available free to graduate
students.
Checks should be made out to Caltech/JPL. Before sending the data we must
receive the funds or a purchase order.
Send checks and ordering information to:

We also have four Standard Data Products available for free available on
8mm tapes, calibrated with fixed headers. They can also be ftp'd from
/sci7/ftp/pub/outgoing on our anonymous ftp site ophelia.jpl.nasa.gov .
These are 1994 single scenes of:
Moffett Field, CA - vegetation,urban,water - 940407B0601 (PG02106)
Jasper Ridge, CA - vegetation - 940430B0203 (PG02105)
Cuprite, NV - geological features - 940520B0504 (PG02104)

You must provide the following information when ordering AVIRIS data
(whether ordering a specific dataset or a Standard Data Product):
- Your name
- Your affiliation (university, research facitility, company, etc.)
- Your COMPLETE mailing address. This should
include a street address, as the shipper we sometimes use will not
ship to only a P.O. Box. If you have a P.O. Box, try to include a
street address with it.
- Your phone number
- Your fax number if you have one
- Your email address if you have one
- Flight, Run, Scene (or just the site name of Standard Data Product)
Example: flight 920530B, run 2, scenes 3 and 4
- Whether you want it radiometrically calibrated or not.
Radiometric correction involves correcting for detector readout delay
and conversion from AVIRIS DN to units of Radiance.
- Whether you want it in unix (IEEE) or VAX format. VAX format has
the bytes swapped on 16-bit integer data.
- Media type: 8mm tape or 4mm tape
- Whether or not you want labels on your files: Fixed, VICAR, or no label.
The fixed labels are 1000 bytes for every file.
We have an ASCIIform that you can download, fill in, and send to us to order data.
We're not running an HTTP server (yet), so we don't have an online
form. Download it, fill it in, and send it to avorders@ophelia.jpl.nasa.gov.
