The basic guidelines of DSR are:
. Research: To learn, to do and to propagate creative and high quality research and integrate it in the post-graduation educational program.
. Education: To contribute and to improve continuously the post-graduation program in remote sensing, aiming always to its excellence.
. Extension: (Service/Diffusion): To promote quality actions which would attend and stimulate local, regional and national demands for the use, knowledge and application of remote sensing techniques.
